In Summer 2003, just before my freshman year in High School, I had the opportunity to travel to Japan for about 11 days with an exchange program to my hometown's "sister city" called Imaichi. My friend and I decided to join the group, and raise money, and we went! Kind of a crazy experience for a couple of 14 year old girls.
While there we visited Tokyo Tower, Edo Wonderland, Western Village, Buddhist Temples, Shinto Shrines, waterfalls, and all things Japan. We made noodles, ate sushi, tried on kimonos, played with sparklers, watched Japanese cartoons, took naps, and practiced our Japanese calligraphy. & had a grand adventure that began my desire to travel the world.
& that was about 12 years ago.
& I finally just started & finished this scrapbook.
It's pretty simple, but I like how it turned out.
