Baby Shower: Banana Punch

For my sister's baby shower this past weekend, we decided to serve punch. Since the shower took place mid-morning  a juicy  breakfast punch was in order. Luckily my mom found a recipe for some delicious banana punch. MMmmm, so tasty! (We modified it based on the ingredients we had on hand.)

Ingredients: (makes 5 quarts)

  • 7 cups (+3 juice cans full) water
  • 3.5 cups sugar
  • 5 bananas, mashed in a blender
  • 6 oz frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 6 oz frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 6 oz frozen pineapple juice concentrate
  • 1 quart ginger ale
Steps:
  • Boil sugar at 7 cups of water for 5 minutes.
  • Cool.
  • Add remaining ingredients (except ginger ale)
  • Freeze
  • Remove from freezer 2-3 hours before serving.
  • Mix with ginger ale.
Other considerations
  • Float assorted fruit in the punch bowl
  • Add vodka for a kick
