Liebster Award Acceptance Speech

Oh wow. How great! I was nominated for a Leibster Blog Award. My friend Laura, from According to  Laura Jean (also now the resident assistant of the wing RA'd for at NWC), thought that my blog was one other people would benefit from reading.
Thank you Laura. You're the best.
I have appreciated our growing friendship by reading each other's blogs!
[[readers: be sure you visit Laura's blog and learn about this inspiring lady]]

I wanted to know a little bit more on this award, so I looked for other people who received this blogging award for their descriptions:
According to Laura Jean, "This award is kind of like a trophy for a 4th grade softball game in my opinion. It isn't meant for the grand daddy of all blogs and probably doesn't mean all too much in the long run but is exciting and rewarding for the time being."
We Loved Here: "The Liebster award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers.  What is a Liebster?  The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome."
So although not too similar to an Oscar, it is still fun to receive some recognition in this fun little blogosphere. There are a few rules to follow after you receive this award.

Rules for the nominees:
1. List 11 facts about yourself.
2. Answer the 11 questions given to you.
3. Create 11 new questions for the bloggers you nominate for the award.
4. Choose up to 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers to nominate.
5. Go to each bloggers page and let them know about the award.
6. Thank the lovely blogger who nominated you and link back to their page.

7. Also feel free to add a "Liebster Blog" button on your sidebar to keep that recognition going!

Although most people combine all of those in one post, like Laura, I am going to break up the process a little bit for two reasons. #1) I am not a fan of drawn-out, lengthy posts, and #2) I want to keep the spirit of this award going by giving it more recognition through multiple posts. Ok with you? So be looking forward to at least 2 or 3 more posts to read 11 facts about myself, answer 11 questions given to me, and recognize other bloggers that I nominate.

*Note: There is no general committee that awards this award. It's just a recognition from one blogger to another for how awesome they are. Kind of like a really big Internet hug!
