While unpacking from our new apartment, I found left over supplies from Kameron's stamp-making adventure during our wedding planning phase. He had carved his own stamp that we used to add an embellishment to our wedding programs.
Well, I had a few days off, so I went to work carving my own stamp.
I wanted to make something that would be fun, unique, and I could use on note-cards envelopes, craft projects, etc.
Here's what I used:
- Stamp Carving Block
- Sharp Stamp Cutters
- X-acto Knife
- Ink Pad
- Pencil
- And lots of patience
- and bandaids...
- Decide on a stamp design
- With a pencil, sketch your design into the block
- Use the X-acto knife or the stamp cutters to carve the design into the block
- ----caution, you may end up cutting your fingers in the process, be slow & careful
- Make sure your carvings are deep enough as not to show up on paper when you stamp it
- & stamp away!
