Craft Time: Carve Your Own Stamps

While unpacking from our new apartment, I found left over supplies from Kameron's stamp-making adventure during our wedding planning phase. He had carved his own stamp that we used to add an embellishment to our wedding programs.

Well, I had a few days off, so I went to work carving my own stamp.

I wanted to make something that would be fun, unique, and I could use on note-cards  envelopes, craft projects, etc.

Here's what I used:
Here's what I did:
  • Decide on a stamp design
  • With a pencil, sketch your design into the block
  • Use the X-acto knife or the stamp cutters to carve the design into the block
  • ----caution, you may end up cutting your fingers in the process, be slow & careful
  • Make sure your carvings are deep enough as not to show up on paper when you stamp it
  • & stamp away!
