Monday night we were invited to a YCS fundraiser called the Festival of Flavors. Bishop Beckwith from the Diocese bought us tickets. What a fun night! Restaurants from all over the area had booths with samples of their food. We could walk around the Ball Room of the Marriott and sample steak, fajitas shrimp, cheesecake, fondue, and wine. My favorite sampling was Butternut Squash Soup. Reminded me of my time in Zimbabwe! I definitely need to make some of that soup this winter.
