Wedding: The Dress

Where: Bibles for Missions Thrift Store, Orange City, IA
Price: $50
I tried on a bunch of dresses that were donated to the thrift store at the end of August (after the rush of summer weddings). This was not necessarily my #1 choice for a wedding dress, but I think I looked pretty good. And Kameron couldn't keep his eyes off of me. I am glad not a lot of money went into the dress that I will only wear once. Sometimes I do wish I had bought the "dress of my dreams," but the truth is, I did not have any dreams about what my dress would look like. But if I ever had a daughter, you better believe I will be using THIS idea.

  1. I only spent $40 on my dress too. We got it at the after-prom sale at JCPenny. You would never have known though! It wasn't my first choice either but like you said, I only wore it for a day and now it just sits in the back of my closet.

  2. That dress is absolutely gorgeous! It's refreshing to see that not everyone has to have a dress worth thousands to look beautiful :)

  3. Your dress is lovely. My wedding dress/outfit and shoes were all thrifted too. And I couldn't have loved an outfit more. :) Congratulations on your marriage! ♥♥

  5. I love the photo idea! I'll have to remember that after I get older, get married, and have girls.

I had an idea for a spin on that. Take a pic from newborn till the day she gets engaged with her in the dress. 1 pic a year would be adorable!
